The Division 2 will be out before next April says Ubisoft
Ubisoft will have three main AAA out before this time next yr, together with sequels to The Crew and The Division.
It looks like The Division 2 will be out sooner than many people expected and could even end up as Ubisoft’s big Christmas game, according to what they’ve just told investors.
They’ve stated that they’ll have three major games out before the end of their financial year, which ends on March 31, 2019.
One of those games is The Crew 2, which is due out on June 29, and the other is The Division 2 – which they haven’t officially revealed yet but which they themselves managed to leak news of a few months back.
The identity of the third game is a mystery, although it isn’t pirate game Skull & Bones – which has been pushed pack until the financial year after that, so potentially as late as 2020.
There are numerous rumours though of a new Splinter Cell and a follow-up to Assassin’s Creed Origins set in Ancient Greece, so it could be one of those two.
Both games were part of the recent Walmart leak, which has so far proven accurate, but they can’t both be out before April so either one of them isn’t real or it’s going to be released later than expected.
There’s also the question of what, if anything, Ubisoft’s big Christmas game is going to be.
If the mystery game is Assassin’s Creed it could be that, since that’s when the series is usually released, but we’re not going to know for sure until at least E3 next month.
